Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the Finance team with payroll processing and accounts payable duties. The role involves bi-weekly payroll for interns and contractors, vendor invoice processing, and assisting with month-end close.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in Accounting or Business and at least 2 years of payroll and AP experience, with proficiency in Paylocity and Sage Intacct. A professional, confidential approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or Business required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with payroll software; Paylocity a Plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with accounts payable; Sage Intacct a Plus.
• High integrity with ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong MS Office skills and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for interns and contractors.
• Audit payroll register for accuracy before finalization.
• Submit retirement deductions and employer matching data to vendors.
• Manage garnishments via Paylocity and ensure correct calculations.
• Enter and pay vendor invoices in accounts payable system.
• Maintain PO controls and approval limits during processing.
• Assist with month-end close and power point presentations.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
