Job summary

Clark County Public Transportation Benefit Area (C-TRAN) is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to perform professional payroll preparation and accounting activities, including AP/AR, journal entries, and reconciliations. This exempt, non-represented role supports confidential payroll operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with related course work in business, finance, or accounting.
• At least three years progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Payroll knowledge and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; 10-key.

Responsibilities

• Collect and audit payroll time sheets for data input.
• Verify vacation, sick leave and holiday hours and accruals.
• Coordinate payroll processes including data entry, processing, and check preparation.
• Prepare payroll and related reports (W‑2, retirement, workers’ comp, etc.).
• Reconcile monthly payroll-related general ledger accounts and maintain records.
