Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team in Downers Grove, IL in a hybrid role. You will record payroll entries in the general ledger, manage payroll accruals, and support month-end close and audits. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Required: Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 3+ years accounting experience with payroll exposure, and proficiency in Excel. SAP experience preferred; OneStream a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (required).
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably with payroll exposure.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record payroll entries in the general ledger.
• Maintain payroll accrual calendars and mapping of payroll codes.
• Perform month-end close activities including payroll accruals.
• Analyze variances in monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and report fluctuations.
