Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Payroll Accountant to analyze pay, fringe benefits, and other financial information to ensure accurate employee compensation and timely payroll reporting. This role supports payroll tax returns and regulatory reporting under the supervision of department leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of accounting experience, with familiarity in QuickBooks, Lawson, and Crystal Reports, and a strong focus on accuracy,

Overview

Applies principles of accounting to both analyze pay, fringe benefits and other financial information to ensure accurate pay to employees and assist with the completion and reporting of payroll information, including but not limited to payroll tax returns, to applicable regulatory agencies under the supervision of departmental leadership.

Qualifications

Education required: Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university

Education preferred: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from an accredited college or university preferred

Experience: Minimum of one year accounting experience (preferably in health care or public accounting setting). Experience in Quickbooks, Lawson, and Crystal reporting beneficial.

Additional skills/abilities:

• Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fast paced environment requiring the ability to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of work flow
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites products
