Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to efficiently administer credentialing and enrollment for a large multi-specialty medical group and multiple hospital facilities. You will coordinate third-party payer credentialing, maintain databases, and liaise with providers, operations, and billing teams.

The role supports practice management, handles applications and renewals, and facilitates malpractice credentialing for all employed providers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional office experience, including 2 years of medical billing experience with understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO and Commercial insurance plans.
• Prior experience with third-party payor credentialing, enrollment, or facility privileging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates facility privileging and re-privileging for Medical Group Providers.
• Completes application forms for credentialing/enrollment.
• Coordinates submission of applications to payors.
• Supports follow-up, problem investigation and resolution.
• Facilitates malpractice credentialing and renewal processes for all employed providers.
