Job summary

First State Community Bank is seeking a Director of Payments in Farmington, MO to lead the strategy, innovation, and evolution of the bank's payment solutions. You will shape enterprise-wide payments initiatives, align cross-functional teams, and drive secure, customer-focused experiences for businesses and consumers.

You will build partnerships with fintechs and vendors, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance across payment channels while guiding executive leadership on trends and opportunities in

Qualifications

• Proven experience in payments strategy, product development, or treasury management.
• Strong understanding of payment systems (ACH, wires, cards, real-time payments).
• Experience with core/digital banking platforms and payment vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute FSCB's enterprise-wide payments strategy.
• Identify opportunities in real-time payments, digital wallets, embedded finance.
• Drive innovation through new products, partnerships, and process improvements.
• Manage key vendor and technology relationships ( Mastercard®, Jack Henry, Q2, FIS, Entrust, CPS, ProfitStars).
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure success and drive improvement.
• Ensure compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across all payment channels.
