Coinbase is seeking a Payments Risk Analyst II to own risk controls for ACH payments across the fiat rails, protecting customers and revenue while preserving the user experience. You will join the Risk & Fraud team within the Consumer & Business group and help modernize risk controls and build scalable fraud prevention systems to protect Coinbase’s platform.

You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Data Science, Risk ML, and Engineering to develop and iterate risk management

Qualifications

• 4+ years in risk, fraud, or payments operations.
• 2+ years querying and analysing large datasets with SQL.
• Experience using identity-provider data and fraud-detection tooling.
• Ability to measure financial impact of fraud decisions and communicate findings to leadership.
• Working knowledge of ACH payment processing and NACHA rules.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ACH payments, scaling fraud prevention to match business growth.
• Drive detection and mitigation of fraudulent deposit activity through targeted logic against bad actors.
• Lead quantitative analysis of fraud performance and report findings with data-backed recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product, Growth, Data Science, Risk ML, and Engineering to evolve risk strategies.
• Investigate anomalous customer and transaction behavior and close monitoring gaps.
