Job summary

Intepros is seeking an entry-level Finance/Accounting specialist in Philadelphia to process premium and non-premium payments, perform reconciliations, and resolve payment issues using internal systems and banking tools.

The role collaborates with Accounting, Billing, AR, Treasury and banking partners, conducts RDC and lockbox deposits, maintains records, and supports process improvements. 0–2 years experience preferred; bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, payment processing, treasury, cash application, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply premium and non-premium payments accurately.
• Perform reconciliations and quality checks to identify discrepancies.
• Research and resolve payment issues using internal systems and banking tools.
• Work with Accounting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and banking partners to resolve payment issues.
• Process check deposits using Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) and virtual lockbox systems.
• Manage payment exceptions and ensure issues are resolved within established SLAs.
• Maintain accurate records and follow internal financial controls.
• Identify payment trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve processes.
• Support additional finance operations projects as needed.
