National Exchange Bank & Trust is seeking a Payments & Recon Representative to join the Deposit Operations team. You will support system balancing, overdraft analysis, and ACH processing under the guidance of the Team Leader.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with various levels of management and staff. Experience in banking balancing and knowledge of NACHA/Reg guidelines is preferred.

Qualifications

• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and banking software.
• Previous banking/balancing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NACHA rules, Reg J, Reg E and Reg CC is preferred.
• 6–12 months of on-the-job training required.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Payments & Recon team under the Team Leader.
• Perform system balancing, overdraft analysis, and ACH processing.
• Balance general ledger accounts and verify business checks.
• Troubleshoot balancing issues and manage ACH processing.

Summary

As a Payments & Recon Representative, you will work within a team in the Deposit Operations area under the direction of your Team Leader. Your responsibilities will include System Balancing, Overdraft and ACH Processing. Specific areas of responsibility within the Payments & Recon team will include overdraft analysis, balancing bank general ledger accounts, verifying business checks, troubleshooting balancing issues, and managing ACH processing.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion of customer and bank information.
• Ability to operate standard office and bank equipment and required software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and applicable banking systems.
• Previous experience in banking and balancing is preferred.
• Proficient product & services knowledge and working knowledge of NACHA rules, Reg J, Reg E and Reg CC Guidelines and Banking Terminology is preferred.
• Six to twelve months of on-the-job training is required to become familiar with departmental policies and procedures.
