Whatnot is seeking a Product Designer for the Payments team to design seamless, trustworthy money experiences at scale. You’ll shape the checkout, payout, wallet, and incentive flows from buyer wins to seller earnings, partnering with PMs, engineers, data scientists, and finance for speed, trust, and correctness.

You’ll craft wireframes, prototypes, and polished experiences, unify payment surfaces across live, marketplace, tips, and offers, and use data and research to boost conversions while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience.
• Strong interaction and systems thinking.
• Expertise with design and prototyping tools.
• Experience designing for zero-to-one products.
• Background in e-commerce or marketplace platforms is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design payment and value experiences across checkout, payouts, wallet, refunds, credits, coupons, gift cards, and emerging balance products on web and mobile.
• Translate payment infrastructure, compliance, tax, and financial integrity requirements into intuitive product experiences.
• Design both happy paths and recovery flows: failed payments, pending states, payment method switching, seller visibility, and resolution.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished product experiences for ambiguous, high-stakes money movement problems.
• Help unify fragmented payment experiences across live, marketplace, tips, offers, and other purchase surfaces.
• Use data, research, and experimentation to improve conversion, reduce payment friction, and increase buyer and seller confidence.
• Contribute to the design system while advocating for accessibility, inclusivity, and scalable global patterns.
• Design for live shopping constraints, where speed, clarity, and trust matter across auctions, flash sales, subscriptions, and other high-throughput moments.
