Whatnot, the leading live shopping platform, is seeking an experienced Product Manager, Payments to own the strategy and execution of the core payments platform powering a global marketplace. You will influence how buyers pay, how sellers get paid, and how money moves across billions in GMV across 50+ categories.

You'll partner with Engineering, Finance, Legal, CX/Ops, and Trust & Safety to scale payments securely, maintain strict financial controls, and unlock growth with international

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience with payments focus.
• Experience owning high-volume payments systems at marketplace/fintech companies; familiarity with major processors.
• Strong leadership: setting strategy, influencing partners, driving complex initiatives.
• Deep understanding of financial data, reconciliation and reporting for high-transaction environments.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and make timely, informed decisions.
• Proven use of data and experimentation to guide product decisions and measure impact.
• Solid product discovery and execution skills across multi-stakeholder needs.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Engineering, Design, Finance, Legal, CX/Ops, and risk teams.
• High empathy for users and stakeholders in financial experiences.
• Nice to have marketplace or multi-sided platform payments experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for Payments, balancing short-term wins with long-term platform investments.
• Understand stakeholder needs and translate into scalable systems for buyers and sellers.
• Define and own core payments metrics and use to guide prioritization and impact.
• Drive execution across backend payments, integrations, and frontend UX with timelines.
• Build the financial data foundation, including ledger systems and month-end closes.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Trust & Safety, CX, and Operations to ensure compliance and manage risk.
• Establish metrics and experimentation frameworks to validate performance and improve outcomes.
