Merck is seeking a dedicated Payment Specialist in Rahway, NJ to manage contracts, set up payees and budgets, and initiate site payments in accordance with policies. You will handle inquiries, maintain records, and generate payment and reconciliation reports while ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX.

This role offers the chance to contribute to cross-functional teams and support financial operations. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma with 1 year of payment processing experience,

Qualifications

• Budgeting, forecasting and financial data analysis are expected.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Experience with payment processing and reconciliation is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Review all executed contracts and set-up payees and budget schedules.
• Initiate site payments according to policies and guidelines.
• Process site payments for visits, milestones and pass-through expenses per GAAP and SOX.
• Route and track payments for approval in a timely manner.
• Answer internal and external queries regarding payments and budgets.
• Maintain information in databases or tools.
• Organize, store, archive, and retrieve contracts and payment docs.
• Coordinate records management with sponsor’s groups.
• Develop and maintain data summary and payment reconciliation reports.
