Job summary

Convergenz is seeking a Digital Payments Operations Specialist for a 6-month contract with hybrid work locations in Pensacola, FL, Winchester, VA, and Vienna, VA. Shifts include 7:00pm-3:30am, 3:00am-11:30am, and 11:00am-7:30pm.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of payment rails (wire transfers, cashier's checks, faster payments, Western Union) and related processes.
• Understanding of OFAC screening, BSA requirements, fraud controls.
• Ability to analyze complex payment scenarios and resolve exceptions.
• Maintains accuracy in reviewing instructions and documentation.
• Communicates effectively with team and stakeholders to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review payment instructions, account information, and supporting docs to prevent errors.
• Monitor and apply OFAC screening and fraud controls in daily operations.

Description:

• Payment Operations Expertise - Demonstrates solid knowledge of wire transfers, cashiers checks, faster payments, Western Union, and related operational processes
• Risk and Compliance Awareness - Understands and applies regulatory requirements, including OFAC screening, fraud prevention controls, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, and internal policies to mitigate operational and compliance risk
• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - Analyzes complex payment scenarios, identifies root causes, resolves exceptions efficiently, and makes sound decisions while balancing member service, risk, and operational requirements
• Detail Oriented - Maintains a high level of accuracy when reviewing payment instructions, account information, and supporting documentation to prevent errors and financial losses
