Job summary

Mizuho is seeking a Payment Platform Implementation Engineer to design, build, and support scalable payment processing, settlement, and transaction banking platforms. You will partner with business, operations, product, and technology teams to deliver secure, resilient applications across SWIFT, FED, ACH and other channels.

Responsibilities include designing Java-based services, integrating APIs and microservices, and developing automation for deployment, monitoring, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Hands-on experience with payment STP – initiation, validation, enrichment, routing, settlement, reporting.
• Strong Java, APIs, microservices, scripting, relational DBs, and production-grade support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable Java-based payment processing and settlement services across channels.
• Build and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven components for payment orchestration and tracking.
• Develop scripts and automation for deployment, data analysis, monitoring, and production support activities.
• Design, query, and optimize relational databases supporting payments, references, audits, and settlements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, operations, risk, compliance, infrastructure, and vendors to translate payment-domain requirements into reliable solutions with controls and traceability.
• Support testing, defects, code reviews, release management, and production readiness for payment platforms.
