Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a systems engineer to act as the customer-facing technical advocate for payloads from contract through launch. You will support requirements allocation, verification, and the development of engineering processes and tools in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with propulsion, avionics, structures, and ground operations teams, with a focus on safety, reliability, and mission success. A TS/SCI clearance is preferred though not always required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of systems engineering principles and execution.
• Experience in payload accommodation and launch vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as customer-facing point-of-contact for one or more payloads through the full payload lifecycle.
• Support development, allocation, and verification of requirements.
• Assist with developing systems engineering processes and tools and ensure consistent implementation.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to derive technical system solutions.
