Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations with a focus on exceptional neighborly service and pet-friendly experiences. You will guide the team in applying PSP standards, assist customers, and ensure a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, handling opening/closing duties, executing back-office tasks, and supporting recruiting and training efforts to keep the store running smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate all equipment, including a forklift, and to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting products and provide neighborly service.
• Greet regular customers and engage with pets and families.
• Lead the store team by reinforcing daily procedures and performance expectations.
• Provide leadership coverage up to four times a week when managers are offsite.
• Involvement in recruiting, onboarding, and development of team members.
• Contribute to community engagement and store performance improvements.
