Job summary

APAC Central Inc. in Sidney, ME is seeking an Equipment Operator - Screed - Paving Construction to join a safety-oriented team on various projects. You will promote safety and contribute to essential infrastructure work in your community.

The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, outdoor work in all weather, and flexibility to travel and work nights or weekends. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous construction experience preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical.
• Valid documentation for I-9 immigration requirements.
• Must be 18+ years old due to safety-sensitive requirements.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality at designated job sites.
• Willing to travel and adapt to varying schedules (nights, weekends, overtime).

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Follow safety policies, and OSHA/MSHA regulations, using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform physical tasks including stretching, bending, lifting, squatting, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Shovel dirt, stone, and asphalt; handle materials, tools, and supplies to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist with traffic control, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and other site duties as needed.
• Collaborate with managers and co-workers, actively contributing to a positive team environment.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, showing flexibility and initiative.
