Job summary

Texas Materials Group, Inc. in Houston seeks an Asphalt Raker to support paving crews on construction sites. You will operate a lute rake to straighten joints and assist with hand work where the paving machine cannot reach.

Responsibilities include maintaining tools, following directions, and helping with site duties while adhering to safety policies and procedures. Occasional travel and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in construction or paving environments.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use lute rake to straighten asphalt joints and assist hand work where machines cannot reach.
• Maintain tools daily and store them properly after shifts.
• Assist paving crew with duties such as shoveling and material placement.
• Follow Foreman directions and project-specific tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Assist with traffic control setup and site cleanup.
• Travel and occasional night/weekend shifts may be required.
• Report issues to Foreman or Safety Manager as needed.
