A.C. Moate Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Raker to support paving crews with raking, luting, and shoveling duties. The role requires familiarity with asphalt operations and the ability to keep up with production pace on active jobsites.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of asphalt paving experience and hold a valid driver’s license. The position offers steady work, standard daytime hours, and compensation dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years asphalt paving experience preferred.
• Experience as Asphalt Raker, Asphalt Laborer, or Paving Crew Member.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a crew.
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when required.

Responsabilités

• Perform asphalt raking, luting, and shoveling during paving operations.
• Assist with asphalt placement, spreading, and finishing.
• Work alongside paver operators and roller operators to ensure smooth, even surfaces.
• Maintain proper grade, slope, and transitions.
• Support crew with general labor duties as needed.
• Keep pace with production and maintain efficiency.
• Follow directions from Foreman and crew leads.
• Assist with jobsite setup and cleanup.
• Handle asphalt tools and equipment properly.
• Follow jobsite safety requirements.
• Maintain awareness around heavy equipment and live paving operations.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
