Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to assist in ensuring paving projects are completed on schedule and within budget. The role involves managing project documentation, supporting planning and scheduling activities, and coordinating with VDOT and other contractors.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, strong organizational and writing skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational, management and writing skills.
• Knowledge of VDOT specifications and construction practices.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist management to ensure paving projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Control and manage project documentation and pay records for assigned projects.
• Assist project superintendent and project manager with planning and scheduling.
• Prepare updates of construction activities and analysis of manpower and equipment required.
• Maintain a daily record of significant project facts, events, and conditions.
• Review costs and schedules with the project management team.
• Communicate with VDOT and other contractors.
• Attend and document weekly schedule and coordinating meetings; produce minutes.
