Job summary

CES Consulting, LLC is seeking a Construction/Paving Inspector for the Montgomery/Prince George's County, Maryland area. The role involves field inspections, data collection, and coordination with engineers to ensure safety, quality, and compliance on transportation projects.

The position requires walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional night/weekend shifts, and working in varying weather conditions. MARTCP/WACEL certifications are preferred. Hourly pay will reflect experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; related experience acceptable.
Progression with education is recognized with pay increases in this role.
Experience in civil inspection, design, traffic, materials testing, or surveying is a plus.

Responsibilities

Inspect paving, concrete, striping, and landscaping restoration.
Document material placement and verify materials come from approved sources.
Check temperature and quality of paving materials and witness sampling/testing.
Measure quantities and document inspection findings in daily reports (electronic).
Ensure contractor work is performed safely and document progress.
Inspect completed work and approve payments; complete timesheets and mileage logs.
Provide training to new paving inspectors and attend project meetings.
