Job summary

CES Consulting, LLC is hiring a Pipeline Inspector II to support Maryland projects in Montgomery or Prince George's counties. The role focuses on more complex WSSC water/sewer inspections, working independently under a Contract Manager, and mentoring junior inspectors on standards and practices.

The position emphasizes adherence to specifications, reporting accuracy, and coordination with contractors and authorities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of inspection experience on underground water and sewer pipeline projects.
• Experience inspecting multiple water/sewer contracts in the last five years.
• Certifications such as NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP, ITCP, or MD Rural Water Operator License preferred.
• Ability to obtain required certifications within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with WSSC, SHA, County, and local specs.
• Inspect compaction and trench backfilling.
• Validate third‑party geotechnical inspections.
• Observe compaction work in progress.
• Coordinate restoration work with contractors and local authorities.
• Complete Daily Inspection Reports, Timesheets, and Mileage reports.
• Assist Pipeline Construction Division Contract Managers as needed.
• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
