Job summary

Wallace Montgomery is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. The inspector will perform field inspections on road projects, observe materials tests, and document daily progress under the supervision of a Project Engineer.

Travel across the state is expected, with night shifts possible as required. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain VDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• VDOT experience or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of construction and maintenance projects.
• Conduct tests on soils, asphalt, concrete, aggregates, bituminous products, metal products and industrial coatings.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and progress photos.
• Participate in project meetings and change order discussions.
