Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking an entry-level civil engineering/construction professional to support paving project teams on-site throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This full-time role emphasizes safe, efficient paving operations, planning, scheduling, and daily field coordination.

Responsibilities include developing work plans, interpreting plans, documenting progress, and assisting with material deliveries and cost control.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related major
• 0–2 years of engineering or construction experience
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Communicates and reinforces company culture and leadership practices with team members.
• Develops work plans and schedules for paving operations and supports crew productivity.
• Has basic knowledge of milling and paving operations.
• Performs laborer tasks such as pipe, excavation, site cleanup, painting, and maintenance.
• Interprets contract plans and specifications.
• Ensures work meets requirements and production standards.
• Documents projects through diaries, photos, videos, inspections, RFIs, reports, and CMiC logs.
• Develops, reviews, and processes submissions and tracks status to approval.
• Assists in negotiation, pricing, and purchasing of parts, materials, and labor.
• Coordinates material deliveries and trucking for maximum production and quality; verifies cost code charging and invoicing.
• Tracks quantities of work performed; provides input for billable quantities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports safety initiatives and Home Safe Tonight program.
• May participate on Safe Production Teams.
• May assist with Daily Written Work Plans and Work Hazard assessments.
