Texas Materials is seeking a skilled Shuttle Buggy Operator to support our paving operations in Texas. The role involves safely operating a Shuttle Buggy (MTV) to move asphalt from haul trucks to the paving machine, ensuring continuous material flow and high-quality paving results.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in heavy equipment operation, with Shuttle Buggy or MTV experience preferred, and solid knowledge of asphalt paving processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Shuttle Buggy/MTV experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in asphalt paving or road construction preferred.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving processes and roadway construction practices.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Shuttle Buggy during asphalt paving operations.
• Transfer asphalt mix from haul trucks to the paver to maintain continuous flow.
• Coordinate with paver operators, truck drivers, foremen and crews for productivity.
• Perform pre/post-shift inspections and basic maintenance documentation.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards.
• Maintain clean work areas and support safety meetings.
