The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) seeks an Engineering Technician Supervisor to lead the Pavement Research Laboratory of the Louisiana Transportation Research Center. You will plan, coordinate, supervise, and conduct laboratory and field research and testing to support DOTD objectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for pavement-related lab and field research.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute research programs.
• Oversee testing and data collection with specialized equipment.
• Apply advanced knowledge to resolve non-routine problems.
• Prepare findings and technical results for reports and presentations.
• Evaluate new concepts and methods for DOTD improvements.
• Assist supervising engineer with test equipment decisions.
• Ensure statewide applicability of research findings.
• Manage and supervise lab personnel and support staff.
• Provide training on equipment, procedures, and new technologies.
