Job summary

The Pavement Research Facility Manager role at Louisiana State University’s LTRC Pavement Research Facility in Port Allen oversees daily operations, safety, and data collection for pavement testing. You will lead engineers, technicians and students, ensuring efficient testing and high quality data output.

Responsibilities include supervising PTMs, instrumentation installs, testing, reporting, inventory control and coordinating facility maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• 3 years of experience in related field.
• Master's degree preferred in Civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• 3 years of experience preferred.
• Leadership and management experience.
• PE license in transportation, structure, mechanical, geotechnical or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides management services to operate the LTRC Pavement Research Facility (PRF) in Port Allen, LA.
• Oversees operation of the PRF and PTMs, supervising equipment operators and staff.
• Monitors construction of PTM test sections and installation of field instrumentation; conducts load testing and data processing.
• Prepares construction plans, specifications, and project reports; coordinates equipment moves and inventories.
• Trains staff, leads by example, and ensures safety and efficiency of facility operations.
• Performs inventory and maintains documentation for PRF equipment and activities.
