Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Georgia, a transformative infrastructure program with large-scale paving operations. The Project Engineer – Pavement will support field and office coordination, ensuring subgrade, asphalt, and concrete pavements meet grades and quality standards.

You will work with superintendents, plants, trucks, and subcontractors to optimize planning and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in infrastructure, roadway, or bridge construction.
• Familiarity with GDOT projects and knowledge of AASHTO and FHWA standards is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field offices and job sites as needed.
• Basic knowledge of cost tracking, budget monitoring, and field production documentation.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and traffic control plans.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with both field and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Support field paving operations, subgrade, asphalt, and concrete pavement activities.
• Coordinate paving with Superintendents, crews, plants, trucking, and MOT teams.
• Review plans, sections, profiles, specs, paving limits, and sequencing.
• Assist with planning widths, joint layouts, production targets, and material quantities.
• Coordinate asphalt production and delivery to maintain consistent paving output.
• Track tonnage, quantities, truck cycles, and production rates.
• Verify grades, slopes, elevations, and thickness during paving operations.
• Coordinate testing of compaction, density, cores, and surface quality.
• Monitor cost, production, schedule, quality, and safety for pavement activities.
