Job summary

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking an Equipment Operator I to support pavement operations in the Public Works department. You will operate a variety of equipment including dump trucks, plows, rollers, and loaders to repair streets and alleys.

Qualifications

• Basic operation and maintenance of power-driven equipment.
• Knowledge of general construction methods and materials.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks, plows, and sanders during snow removal.
• Transport materials and equipment to/from work sites.
• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on tools and vehicles.
• Conduct manual tasks such as shoveling and debris removal.
• Assist other Public Works teams as needed.
• Maintain accurate work records and follow safety procedures.
