Job summary

City of Loveland is hiring an Equipment Operator for the Streets Division in the Public Works Department. The position offers an hourly wage between $25.42 and $34.32, with a hiring range $25.42-$29.87, and requires working hours 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

four days weekly; on-call and overtime during snow season. This is a part year position, up to 10 months, with medical coverage option only. Duties include operating a variety of heavy equipment, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, and

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Must possess a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsements; Class A preferred.
• Experience in motor-grader operation, front-end loader operation and snow removal is highly desirable.
• Traffic Control Technician and Flagging certificates highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment including dump trucks, tractor with drag box, asphalt roller, forklift, and street sweeper.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare mileage reports and assist in maintenance of alleys, potholes, and winter operations.
• Work overtime and odd hours, especially during snow season.
