Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to apply statistical concepts in analyzing data.
• Ability to read and interpret pavement plans, specifications and contracts.
• Ability to prepare oral and written technical reports.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in pavement management data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with VDOT staff and external partners to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate construction and maintenance history in pavement management databases.
• Apply advance principles of engineering technology to program areas.
• Review field work for compliance with policies and standards.
• Document and enter data such as work orders and schedules; provide training.
• Develop annual pavement resurfacing schedules and support field personnel.
• Provide technical assistance and training to field staff.
• Administer the Rideability Program for pavement evaluation and scoping.
