Job summary

Cherokee Federal, onsite at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, seeks a Pavement Inspector to conduct pavement-condition assessments, collect and validate data, and translate AMP strategies into localized maintenance plans. The role requires CAC access and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance, with work coordinating with CES flights and base stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing annual maintenance schedules, identifying urgent pavement failures, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Pavement-inspection certification from an accredited institution in the United States.
• Minimum five years of pavement-inspection experience.
• Minimum three years of military facility or infrastructure experience.
• CAC requirement and ability to pass a DoD clearance.

This position is onsite at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii (Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam), requires a CAC, and a favorable Tier 1/NACI-SF85 background investigation.

Provides tactical pavement subject-matter expertise to ensure the data supporting the TNAP AMP is accurate and that AMP strategies translate into actionable pavement-maintenance requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
• This position requires a Common Access Card (CAC), the ability to pass the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance to acquire a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PAVER SMS and Air Force pavement-management processes.
• Experience inspecting airfield, roadway, apron, and parking-area pavement systems.
• American Concrete Institute, American Society for Testing and Materials, or comparable pavement-inspection credentials.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Pavement-inspection certification from an accredited institution within the 50 United States.
• Minimum five years of pavement-inspection experience.
• Minimum three years of military facility or infrastructure experience.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled environment.
