Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a pavement engineering professional to support design, management, and evaluation projects nationwide. You will assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to support pavement performance efforts.

The role requires an MS or PhD in pavement engineering and 1–3 years of related experience; familiarity with programming tools (R, Python) and GIS is valued. Occasional travel and partnership with state and federal programs are expected.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in pavement engineering.
1–3 years of pavement engineering experience post-education.
Knowledge of pavement research, management, evaluation, design or construction.
Specialization in modelling, PCC, mechanistic-empirical design, or maintenance/rehabilitation desirable.
Analytical mindset with sound judgement.
Strong communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
Engineer in Training Certification and local professional practice involvement.

Responsibilities

Contributes technical specialization within WSP's Pavement Technical Excellence Center.
Provides advanced technical knowledge in pavement projects for government and industry clients.
Leads tasks or phases of large projects and supports business development.
Develops work plans and coordinates field/site work and permitting.
Collaborates with engineers and planners on funded improvement projects.
Complies with WSP Code of Conduct and safety policies.
