WSP is seeking a Field Services Technician in Baltimore, MD to support pavement condition assessments and testing projects. You will collect data in field environments, operate specialized equipment, and help ensure high-quality data for engineering decisions.

The role involves field data collection, equipment maintenance, data management, and collaboration with pavement engineering teams. Travel may be required to project sites, with comprehensive benefits provided by WSP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pavement distress data collection or related transportation field work.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience outdoors in roadway environments.
• Familiarity with pavement data collection methods and roadway inspection practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel overnight for projects.

Responsibilities

• Field data collection for pavement condition assessments and testing projects.
• Operate pavement testing equipment (e.g., profilers, FWD, laser systems, GPS).
• Document roadway characteristics accurately and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot equipment in the field to ensure data quality.
• Support engineering teams during field investigations and testing activities.
• Maintain safety in active roadway environments.
• Office tasks: download, organize, QA/QC, and prepare pavement data for analysis.
