Job summary

Solomon Page is seeking a skilled Patternmaker for a girls' better dress brand, joining a creative and production team in New York. This role focuses on paper patterns from design sketches and technical specs, with an emphasis on precision, fit, and safety for children's wear.

It’s a 5-day in-office position with a summer Friday schedule. You will collaborate with design and sample room teams, maintain the pattern library, and ensure consistent grading across sizes, from toddlers to preteens,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of patternmaking experience, ideally in children's apparel.
• Understanding of children's sizing and safety considerations in garment design.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit standards, and grading.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.

Our client, a girls better dress brand, is seeking a skilled Patternmaker to join their creative and production team. Must have an eye for detail and a passion for precision and fit as all patterns are created on paper. This is a 5 day in office work environment with summer Friday schedule.

The salary range for this role is $80-90,000.

• Modify and finalize patterns based on fit sessions and feedback.
• Work closely with design and sample room teams to ensure accurate construction and fit.
• Maintain pattern library and ensure consistent grading across size ranges.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in patternmaking, ideally in children's apparel.
• Understanding of children’s sizing and safety considerations in garment design.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit standards, and grading.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail with an ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in woven and/or knit dresses for toddlers to preteens is preferred.
