Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Chipper to construct, repair, and maintain patterns, core boxes, and tooling used in mold production.

You will read blueprints, select materials, and fabricate parts to spec while using metalworking machines and hand tools with strict safety practices. The role involves shellacking finishes, assembling components, and ensuring quality through progressive checks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting; forklift usage may be required and PPE must be worn.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to compute calculations for materials.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches to plan builds.
• Operate metalworking machines (milling, drills, grinders).
• Perform repairs/alterations to patterns and flasks and ensure quality.
