Job summary

The Studio Theatre Inc is seeking a dynamic part-time House Manager to oversee the patron experience during performances. The HM will supervise Front of House staff, coordinate with the MOD, and ensure a smooth operation of the theatre’s public areas on show nights.

Responsibilities include assisting patrons, resolving seating and ticketing issues, and working with Box Office and MOD to support events. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working events in a customer-facing capacity.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Schedule flexibility and ability to work performances and events, including nights and weekends.
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products; Tessitura experience is a plus.
• Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and enthusiasm to work with diverse teams.
• Standing for extended periods and moving between locations, including stairs.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate building opening times with MOD and staff.
• Ensure proper staffing for all performances in collaboration with MOD.
• Maintain the lobby and public areas to ensure a clean environment.
• Assist patrons with questions and resolve seating or ticketing issues.
• Provide support in emergencies and follow safety procedures.
• Work with Box Office to resolve ticketing issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in Studio Theatre’s ongoing anti-racism initiatives.
• Assist in event staffing for rentals and maintain venue signage and setup.
