Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time Security Officer for a West Point, GA site. The role pays $16.25 per hour with an early-morning schedule: Wed–Sun, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, conduct patrols of facilities and parking areas, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete shift reports. A high school diploma, ability to pass background checks and drug screening, and age requirements are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of automotive facility buildings, parking areas, vehicle storage areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
