The Vernon County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Patrol Deputy to respond to calls in Vernon County, make arrests, complete reports, and transport prisoners. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and MO P.O.S.T.

certified, with the ability to meet the physical demands of law enforcement. Pay is listed at $16.24 per hour for full-time evening, night, and weekend shifts, with benefits including health, dental, and retirement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Missouri P.O.S.T. certified.
• Valid operator's license at time of application and Missouri operator's license at appointment.
• Type a minimum of 35 wpm.
• Visual acuity of 20/200 correctable to 20/20 in both eyes.
• Pass a medical examination and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must possess a valid class A or B Missouri Peace Officer License.
• Meet strenuous physical demands of law enforcement including pursuits, arrests, and operation of equipment.

Responsabilités

• Patrol Vernon County responding to calls and incidents.
• Make arrests and complete reports.
• Serve civil process papers and transport prisoners.
• Assist with other duties as needed and perform general law enforcement tasks.
