Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed peace officer or eligible for licensure by the Minnesota POST Board.
• An associate degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or related field; bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state and local laws and ordinances.
• Respond to and investigate complaints of criminal activity and emergencies.
• Interview victims and witnesses and document statements clearly.
• Collect, secure, and preserve evidence with proper chain of custody.
• Prepare and file detailed reports and testify in court when required.
