Qualifications

• Requires completion of a two-year college program in law enforcement and an eight-week POST skills course.
• Licensure as a Peace Officer or POST eligibility by December 31, 2026.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Sheriff's Office with professionalism to staff, stakeholders, the public, and legal personnel.
• Provide law enforcement services including patrol, investigation, detention, and court security.
• Maintain facility order and security and process admissions for inmates.
• Investigate crimes, collect evidence, and prepare reports; testify in court.
• Transport prisoners and coordinate court-related transportation and service of process.
• Support courtroom security and escort inmates as required.
