Responsibilities

• Patrols streets, roads, highways, waterways, and recreation trails throughout Scott County to ensure compliance with and enforcement of laws.
• Responds to emergencies and assists in management and recovery during disasters.
• Answers emergency and complaint calls; interviews people and counsels in disputes.
• Investigates crimes; gathers information, preserves evidence, and prepares reports.
• Conducts forensics on computers; coordinates with state agencies for investigations.
• Maintains and operates law enforcement equipment and participates in community outreach and education.
