The following statements describe the major elements and requirements of the position but are not exhaustive. The Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from the department. Additional duties include ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, and front office tasks. Other responsibilities include filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical staff. The Transporter should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and greet patients and visitors politely. The role also involves providing clerical support using telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System), and running errands within the facility.
Education, Experience, and Training
1. BCLS certification (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
2. Transportation experience preferred.
3. High School diploma or equivalent required.
The current compensation rate for this position is $21.00/hr. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreements and employment status. The final starting salary will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skills, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
