Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Patient Transporter in Plano, TX for a part-time, rotating 24-hour workweek. The role supports admissions, transfers, and daily patient flow in the Mission Control Department, with three 8-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include patient transport, equipment handling, and assisting with dressing for procedures, all while upholding safety and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 6 months of patient transport experience Preferred
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, paperwork and patient belongings from assigned areas
• Transfer and lift assistance
• Assist patients with dressing for procedures
• Follow protocol for supplies, equipment and supply room
• Clean, locate and maintain transport equipment
• Provide information and directions to patients and visitors
• Transport patient care equipment as necessary
• Assist with admissions, dismissals and transfers to test areas
• Handle orthopedic traction setups and inventory
• Transport to/from special areas as assigned
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE
• Support growth and teamwork within Mission Control
