Qualifications

• Prior healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and promptly, securing IVs and drainage tubes.
• Use wheelchairs and rolling stock to move patients as required.
• Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all ages.
• Ensure safe, timely transport to destination with requested equipment.
• Communicate with nursing staff, clinicians, technicians, and reception/dispatch.
• Ensure patient comfort; be attentive and professional.
• Alert staff to distress or equipment issues.
• Maintain equipment and report repairs.
• Follow regulatory standards including federal, state, and JCAHO.
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and patient rights.
