Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a patient transporter to move patients and equipment between departments, using safe body mechanics and reliable teamwork.

You will track locations and equipment in Epic, maintain PAR levels across locations, and collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the Medical Center.

This role requires a positive attitude, willingness to follow procedures, and the ability to perform physical tasks described in the job description.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification.
• Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
