Job Summary

Patient Transporter

Summary: Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, equipment, and items within the hospital.

Essential Duties:

• Safely transport patients, secure IVs, drainage tubes, and ensure patient safety.
• Use wheelchairs and approved rolling stock for transports.
• Transport all age groups competently.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Report any patient distress or equipment issues.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Follow regulatory standards and confidentiality policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
