Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment across the Medical Center, ensuring safety and proper body mechanics. The role requires teamwork with multiple departments and effective use of Epic to locate patients and track equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of customer service experience, with BLS CPR/AED certification preferred. A focus on safety and compassionate care is essential.

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center.
• Operates and maintains safe body mechanics while moving patients and equipment.
• Uses Epic software to track patient location and equipment movement throughout the facility.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
