Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Transport Associate to move patients and materials across The Miriam Hospital campus. The role primarily serves outpatient areas, including the Fain Health Center, and supports clinical staff by transporting patients, specimens, and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Prior customer service experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.82 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and materials within the hospital
• Transports patients via wheelchair, bed or stretcher to and from clinical areas
• Assists clinical staff in transferring patients between beds, chairs, wheelchairs and stretchers
• Supports department areas as directed by dispatcher
• Delivers specimens, cultures, orders, and requisitions to appropriate destinations
• Maintains safety, quality assurance and infection control procedures
