Mercy is seeking a Patient Transport role to support inter-department transfers of patients and equipment. The transporter uses Epic software to track patient movements and ensures safety with proper body mechanics.
This position collaborates with multiple teams and maintains PAR levels for equipment throughout the Medical Center. Preferred qualifications include two years of customer service experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.

Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program
